39) Woolstone Fishery
(4 tokens) (15th March to 30 September)

1.25 acre lake and 500m left hand bank of the River Neet. The lake was created in 2002 and is now a beautiful mature pool set in a sheltered valley with a wily head of brownies to 3lbs. A lovely place for some easy fishing especially if the Tamar or Torridge are in spate and unfishable. Shallow margins out to about 20ft then deeper central sections to 8-10ft deep. The lake fished well last season with trout to 2lb caught and, for ‘08, it has been restocked and weed growth has been cleared. Stalking and careful presentation of dry flies often get excellent results here. The River Neet adjoins the lake and is also quite fishable with several nice pools and runs with trout to 10”.
