600m right hand single bank. Complimentary to Beat 8 below Kismeldon Bridge, providing easy access for a couple of hours fishing over several nice pools. Prone to low flows and coloured water. Again, as with Beat 8, it fishes best in the late spring / early summer and then again in September. Good mayfly hatch. Lightly fished in ’07 but anglers reported good catches with 8 trout/rod and a best trout of 14”.
