30) Pillaton Bridge
(4 Tokens) (Trout 16 March – 30 September, Salmon 1 March – 14 October).

1500m of single right hand bank. As per Berrio Mill but this beat is set several miles downstream and is a somewhat bigger river, 2 miles from the tide. Good water for sea trout and salmon and moderately good for brown trout. The reach below the bridge has three good holding pools and is easy to fish. Upstream of the bridge is a bit more tricky but there are several pools, numerous holding lies under tree roots and undercut banks together with pocket water. A popular beat last season, anglers had good sport on falling water with salmon to 16lbs and sea trout to 1.5lbs as well as plenty of small trout in the 6” to 10” range.
