Description:
A lovely stretch of classic brown trout water (plus the odd grayling) with lots of pools and deep runs, largely flowing through open meadows. The Lew contains a good head of brownies to around 16”+ and clears quickly after a spate. Good dry fly water and best suited to a shorter fly rod 7-8ft and 3-5wt. Average catch 3.5 fish/rod with best trout of 12” and grayling 11” for last season.

Restrictions:
Fly only. No more than 2 trout to be retained per day. Please return all sea trout, salmon and grayling. No dogs. Please note this is an Arundell Arms beat and there is no token box - please deposit tokens and catch returns at the Hotel Reception (8am - 9pm) which is in the nearby village of Lifton. NB. The ‘Cockpit’ is open for tackle sales and advice 9-10am & 6.30-7pm, also day rods are available on the hotel’s water.
