Description:
The Carey is a productive tributary of the Tamar with a good stamp of larger brown trout to over 1Ib. Occasional seatrout and grayling. Suited to a shorter fly rod 3-5 wt. Prone to low flows and coloured water. This beat has lain fallow and unfished for 3 years due to a change of owners and should offer some excellent trout fishing this year. The lower ham of this beat is easily accessible while the upper ham beyond the woods is a lovely wild place where you will often see deer in the distance and buzzards circling overhead.
Restrictions:
Fly only. 2 trout to be retained per day, please return all salmon and sea trout. No dogs.
