Description:
A lovely reach of the Tamar set in one of the widest floodplain sections of the valley. Here you can fish three rivers; Deer, Tamar and Claw, meanders with riffles, pools and runs holding a good head of brownies to over a pound with occasional grayling. Lightly fished in 2008, an average of 3.5 trout per day/rod, best trout 13”. It is worth trying a longer rod here and trotting weighted nymphs either singly or ‘New Zealand’ style through the pools and runs.
Restrictions:
Fly only. No dogs. No more than 2 trout to be retained per day and please return all grayling. Please note this is also a Bude Anglers Association beat.
