12) Burmsdon
(2 tokens) (15 March – 30 September)

1800m single right hand bank. A nice stretch of classic upper Tamar. Good farming practices result in lush banks by late summer, meaning that although fish numbers are good, it can be a little tricky to fish. Good mayfly hatch. Mostly brown trout in the 7-15” range with the odd grayling, roach and dace. A good beat for the coarse angler who would like to catch a wild trout or two. ’07 was not as productive as previous years but anglers still had good sport with an av. 4 fish/rod and a best trout of 1lb.
