29) Berrio Mill
(3 Tokens) (Trout 16 March – 30 September, Salmon 1 March – 14 October).

650m of single left hand bank. Large spring sea trout, spring salmon and late summer grilse. Trout fishing is good in May and June with peal from July. The Lynher is characterised by predominantly riffle/run sections and pocket water with occasional deep pools, however this compact section has 5 good holding pools! Fenced and cut out in 2004 this beat has the possibility of producing some very good sea trout and salmon given adequate water when fished with worm/lure. Anglers have had good success trotting a worm or weighted nymph through the pools and runs and along the undercut banks (even try using a 9’ or 10’ fly rod). Although lightly fished in ’07, the beat produced 3 fish/rod with brown trout to 1.5lb and sea trout to 5lbs.
